Erin is where I have grown up, been born and raised. I have deep roots here, love this town and always have. I attended Hartford High School. I graduated in 2000 and continued on in my education at UW-La Crosse. I graduated with a minor in Early Childhood and a major in Elementary Education. I have been teaching at Erin School for quite some time, since 2008.
My husband and I have four children. Alex, Maddy, Nino, and Louie. Our youngest son is a student here at Erin School. We live in the Slinger area, and my husband coaches Slinger Varsity Football. Yes, we have a split household when it comes to the Hartford/Slinger sports sidelines. Our son plays sports for both! We love being outdoors, hiking, and the beach. We have 4 grandchildren and love it. I enjoy cooking, working out, and reading…a LOT of reading.
I decided a career in teaching was for me because I always grew up valuing education. I knew from the second I stepped foot on UW-L campus what I wanted to be. I personally love learning and being in a learning environment. Teaching is a job with a lot of variety. I have a lot of experience working with students these last 18 years, and I enjoy it to this day. Teaching is also a way for me to serve the community that I love so much, perhaps the best way.
The students and I work as a team to learn something new every day. My classroom environment is comfortable, safe, and engaging. It will hopefully prove to be a place that your child enjoys coming to each day! In my classroom we are all encouraged to be ourselves and respect one another and what we bring to each other as learners.
