My name is Mrs. Placek and I am one of the fourth grade teachers at Erin Elementary School! My husband and children moved to Richfield in the Fall of 2021 and love being a part of the community in this area. I grew up in a small town, and I love giving my own kids a simple childhood that reminds me of my own. I love reading books on my Kindle and spending as much time as I can outdoors with my family. We especially like to visit parks in the area, have campfires and relax on our deck. I have a love for iced coffee and sweets!
I grew up in the small town of New Holstein and was active in various clubs and sports. I attended UW Oshkosh and graduated with a dual major in Elementary and Special Education. After graduating, I taught elementary special education for one year and then moved to fourth grade within the same building. I have been teaching fourth grade since 2016 and absolutely love this grade and age!
One of the many things I like about being a teacher is that every single day is different and exciting. I love encouraging students to be their best selves and to find that “ah ha!” moment. Fourth grade is a fun and exciting year with many engaging projects. I can’t wait for another year of growth, hard work and fun!
