Mrs. Albea
Hello! My name is Mrs. Albea! This is my second year teaching at Erin. I grew up in Hartford, so it is lovely to be teaching near my hometown! I feel honored to be one of the educators here at Erin and am so excited to see all that this year brings. Middle school is such an amazing journey of growth, fun, reflection, and learning.
I graduated from St. Norbert College in 2019 with a degree in Secondary English Education. When I am not teaching or spending far too much time on Pinterest looking at teaching ideas, I enjoy riding my horse, playing with my cat, doting on my son, and taking my dog on hikes with my husband. Of course, at the end of the day, I love to curl up with a good book and get lost in some new world or galaxy for a little bit.
In ELA, students will continue to work on their reading and writing skills, language and vocabulary skills, and life skills. Students will focus on reading comprehension, effective writing strategies, a continued practice at mastering language and conventions, and growing a passion for reading and writing. We will study multiple different genres and explore the many different types of writing from personal narratives, to writing about reading, to argumentative writing, and many more.
