Mrs. Martin

My name is Rachel Martin and I have been teaching Middle School Social Studies at Erin since 2012. I grew up in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin and graduated from Horicon High School. I then attended the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where I graduated in 2010 with a degree in History and minors in Education and Political Science. In 2018 I also completed a Master’s Degree from Concordia University in Educational Design and Technology. In my free time I like to read, work on arts and crafts projects, support the Green Bay Packers, and spend time with my husband, our two sons, and my extended family.

Throughout the year we will learn about the past through reading, writing, and researching as well as through simulations, debates, and trials. Sixth graders will learn about ancient civilizations, while seventh and eight graders will study US history. I’m excited to challenge students to work in teams as Mesopotamian tribes, defend historic people in mock trials, and think critically about money in economic simulations.

Most dates for assignments, homework, tests, and quizzes will be posted on the Middle School Assignments Page on a weekly bases.
