Mrs. Eisen

Mrs. Eisen has taught at Erin School for twenty-two years. She Holds a license to teach grades one through eight multiple subjects. She has an additional license to teach grades seven through nine Language Arts. Mrs. Eisen began her college years at U.W.W.C.. After receiving her Associate Arts degree she transferred to San Diego State University. She then earned her BA. After successfully completing the CBEST test required by the state of California and obtaining her BA, she was admitted in to the teaching program. This was an extensive program that combined teaching methods with student teaching. Mrs. Eisen had three student teaching positions. Her first position was at Conway Elementary in Escondido, California. There she studied and practiced teaching Second grade. Her Second and third positions were at Del Mar Heights Elementary where she studied and student taught both Kindergartners and Sixth Graders. Mrs. Eisen spent part of a year substitute teaching in southern California before she returned to Wisconsin. Her experiences were enhanced as she took a long term position at Silverbrook Middle School teaching Seventh grade Language Arts. Since obtaining her job at Erin School she has taught Fifth graders for twenty-two years.
Mrs. Eisen teaches multiple subjects with an emphasis on Science. During her years at Erin School she has coached volleyball, judged forensics, and served on many committees. She recently began teaching the summer, “Jump Start” for fifth and sixth graders. Mrs. Eisen is always looking to learn the newest and most exciting techniques to enhance her skills. The committee work has helped her do this. Mrs. Eisen believes all children should be given opportunities to learn in a rich environment while taking into consideration individual personalities and needs. She has served on the Hartford Area Professional Improvement Committee for over fifteen years. The Writing Council is another committee that has been Mrs. Eisen's passion. In addition, Mrs. Eisen is active in the curriculum writing for the Hartford area in both Science and Language Arts. This is Mrs. Eisen’s fourth year as a member of the leadership team at Erin School.
On a more personal note, Mrs. Eisen is an avid reader. Her favorite genre is historical fiction. Mrs. Eisen resides in West Bend with her twin teenage daughters and her twenty year old son. The Eisen family enjoys: camping, boating, wave running, and movie nights.
