Mrs. Azoff
"I want to paint windows all over the earth to let all eyes accustomed to darkness, grow accustomed to light." - Gu Cheng
I am thrilled to be working with your child this school year. Your first year of school will be an exciting one and I look forward to seeing the growth your child will make throughout the year!
My name is Theresa Azoff and I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. I look forward to a great year of guiding the children on their initial paths to learning.
Together my husband and I have two beautiful daughters, Cicely and Maya. My family and I live in Hartford with our dogs (Annie & Sullivan), cat (Felix), and a large fish tank full of fun fish and other aquatic life. We are also learning all about sustainable agriculture and have fruit trees and a very large garden. Rainbarrels and a compost bin have been added to our lives and we continue to learn as we "grow"!
In the classroom, we will be learning many things (including how to compost). Our day will include: opening activities (calendar, weather, daily schedule), free choice/centers, group time (lesson/letter of the week), snack break/bathroom break, story/library, music, outside play, and dismissal. We will also have special activities throughout the year which will include computer time, sharing time, outreach events, and field trips. I look forward to our year!!
