Teaching Third Grade has been one of my favorite grades to teach! I am a new staff member who has joined the Erin School District this school year. I am honored to be included with this professional teaching staff.

My professional backgroud has been a BS Degree in Elementary Education from the U.W. Stevens Point and a MS Degree from U.W. Whitewater. I taught sixth grade, fourth grade and over twenty years of third grade in the Kettle Moraine School District. During my years at KM, I was also on the Language Arts Leadership team. I have studied four summers at Columbia Teachers College Reading and Writing Institute which has been one of my most rewarding professional experiences. 

 I have lived in the Oconomowoc area for many years with my husband Bob. We raised our three children there, who are now grown and have taken their own career paths. My oldest son Andy is a historian who works for the National Parks and the State Parks of California. My son Sam is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy of West Point and is now a Captain in the Green Berets. He has been deployed twice and we are very proud of his service to our country. My daughter, Emily, is a Marquette graduate in Elementary Education and has been teaching for three years in inner city schools, Milwaukee and now in Eau Claire. Needless to say, I am very proud of my children but more than that, I understand the challenges raising children in today’s world. I remember the importance as a parent having a partnership with my children's teachers.

 Educating children is one of our most important challenges in life as a society, and I have always felt it has been a privilege for me as an educator to be a part of that challenge.
