Instructor: Mr. Platais
Date: August 7, 2008
Time: 12:30-2:00pm.
Overview:  If you are someone who likes things to stay the way they are, then recent innovations and changes in computer operating systems and software likely have you in a panic.  This short introduction to the new face of Microsoft’s Office 2007 suite will look at the “Ribbon” and other new features of the suite.  Participants will be guided through the new interface and introduced to available add-ins and tweaks that can make Office 2007 the most productive suite you’ve ever used.

  • Have a Great Summer

SUMMER REGISTRATION

Erin School will hold summer registration for all students for the upcoming 2008-2009 school year on Tuesday, August 5th from 2-4 PM and Monday, August 11th from 3:30-6:30 PM in the School Library. At that time school fees will be collected and parents will be asked to sign up for the November Parent/Teacher Conferences.

Please plan on attending one of these dates.

Student pictures will NOT be taken at summer registration.

Erin School along with other HUHS Feeder Schools will be sponsoring a "Fill the Local Pantry Food Shelves Drive" during our registration process this year.  We want to make sure we do everything possible to support those who are struggling to place food on the table to take good care of their family.  Please consider bringing in a non-perishable food item during summer registration. If your child has previously attended Erin, but you do not plan on sending your child to Erin School this fall, please notify the school office at 262-673-3720.

District Mission:

The mission of the Erin School District is to provide the best possible educational opportunities for the children we serve.  We will strive to provide the necessary learning experiences that will give each child the opportunity to develop a positive self-concept and reach his or her full potential.

We are committed to providing a safe and stimulating setting for children where they will be willing to take the educational risks necessary to become fully independent learners.  They are encouraged to move beyond present learning into new educational experiences in the pursuit of life long learning.

The Erin School District is further committed to the realization that children need the entire community to become active learners.  Parents, teachers, specialists, administration, and the school board are all part of this collaboration to foster a community of learners.

District Philosophy:

Erin School's enrollment ranges between 350 and 370 students.  An experienced academic faculty and student support personnel provide an excellent student to teacher ratio.  This favorable ratio allows the district to provide individual students with the necessary learning tools and experiences.  This gives each child the opportunity to reach his or her full potential.  The district strives to promote a wholesome well-rounded educational experience, viewing each child as a unique individual.  The district believes that only through a committed partnership between parents, students, faculty and administration can the goal of educating children to their full potential be accomplished.  To these ends the Erin School District encourages full parental participation in the education of their child.
