Our Fuel up team had an amazing lunch experience at HU HUT Grill in West Allis on their way to the school board convention where they are presenting! The staff gave the kids a tour, taught them to make Crab Rangoon and talked to students about service.
The students learned LAST..

Students Inspire At The Wisconsin State School Board Convention
The Fuel Up to Play 60 leadership team was grateful to experience this opportunity to learn and share. We used the leadership skills that we have learned at Erin School to be advocates for quality physical education. At this convention, we were able to mentor and teach adults what best practice in physical education looks like and how it can help all students to be active and learn. This gave us the opportunity to show our leadership as young adults. We had to be upbeat and make people feel welcomed and comfortable. We were able to get school board members and administrators to participate and interact with us and others. As students, we usually are the ones having to listen and watch, but this gave us the chance to get up and teach other people. At this convention, we were able to demonstrate quality physical education activities for teachers to teach their students. We had different stations for adults to go to where the students got to help get them out of their comfort zone. We learned how to be an advocate leader who supports healthy living, and we had a blast doing it as a team!
