This year’s Erin School’s Fuel Up to Play 60 team has won several amazing awards, including a national video contest, and a Wisconsin Brain Break contest. The team has worked to promote healthy living at Erin School and in the community, through many activities such as fitness nights, nutrition lessons they taught to other students, and creating brain breaks for the classrooms.
One student in particular went the extra step. Courtney Kirley has been an outstanding leader on the FUTP60 team and through much hard work was selected as a Wisconsin MVP and a State Ambassador. She spent time on their website taking part in challenges and recording plays—deeds done in and out of school which help others to have a healthier lifestyle. Later she filled out a lengthy application which focused on how she helps to keep her community and school active. A few weeks after that, she received an acceptance email, naming her a State Ambassador.
She will have a busy summer filled with some awesome leadership opportunities. Thanks to the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board she will be sent to training at Lambeau Field for a day of learning how to be a spokesperson for FUTP60. She will also be sent to Purdue University in Indiana for a four-day leadership training experience with NFL players and 100 other incredible students like Courtney from around the country. We are very proud of Courtney and our entire Fuel Up to Play 60 team. Keep up the great work of promoting healthy lives!
